I almost ran over one. I think sometimes they’re trying to kill them selves. I just posted a poem about the experience this morning. It would break my heart if i ever hit or run one over.

I have to admit they are very entertaining to watch – as long as they are not trying to stash their walnuts and acorns down our plumbing vent on the roof!!!
