It’s the time of year for Maple trees to put on their wonderful flying seeds: helicopters, whirligigs or other fun names!

It is now two weeks later, April 11th
Soon there will be thousands of whirligigs on the ground, and, yes, filling the gutters and downspouts. Spring is here in Indiana.

but when do they start and finish. Grand Rapids, MI. It seems like they are really late this spring, am I right? Could it be from mild winter. I’m waiting so I can mulch!

Some of ours seemed a tad bit early this year, by maybe a week at most. We also seemed to have even more this year!
