I love chives, so pretty and useful, but I have discovered that they are better spreaders than I’d like.

The flowers are edible, if you want to add a little oniony-touch in a surprising package on deviled eggs, for example.

Thanks Doug. Think we’ll gather some tomorrow. I’ve used the chives a lot in preparing roast/pork loins, etc. Is Andy OK?

A great perennial herb. Very hearty and good in eggs and cream cheese.

I have never tried my hand at growing herbs, maybe we can give it a try. Thanks for the clue about the blossoms.

We started with store bought at the farm store in those little containers. The only one that did not do well was the lavender. Chives, basil, oregano, and sage did fine. Only the basil did not come back this year.
