Immature robin, about 6 feet away
Today was a good day to sit out side. Sher and I were enjoying our own little wildlife show. The feeder had a near constant flow of finches and sparrows. What seeds that fell on the ground below the feeder became a buffet for doves, cowbirds, Cardinals and Redwings. Young squirrels were romping around. We heard the tell-tale rat-ta-ta-tat of at least two woodpeckers. Then came mature and immature robins. One young one hopped close to me.

And then he saw me
It is so relaxing sitting outside on a beautiful day. Sher and I have our binoculars, books, drinks, critters to watch, and most importantly, each other. We’re already discussing where we want to go this winter, but for now we’re grateful that we can stay safe in our home base.
Good to see your robin

He and his two nest mates are quite the characters. Thanks, Derrick!

For a distance of 6 ft, the pictures are really cool. Are they your pets?

I wouldn’t really call them pets. There is the male and female and three young ones, one of which is in the photos. We do see them every day, however, so our backyard must be their home base. Thanks for the visit and the follow. Blessings….

It is always fun watching young birds, squirrels, rabbits or other critters. One of my favorite parts of raising cattle was watching a bunch of calves running around at top speed just at dusk. Kids will always be kids, regardless of species. Thanks for stopping by, Timothy.

Laurie texted me a photo of a cute bunny Silver brought in after I left for work. I saw the three kittens looking suspicious when I was leaving, but I didn’t see they had anything at that point.

Life would be boring without our animal friends. I can imagine the guilty looks on the kittens….
