They hold their head high, walk slowly, and you can see them just about everywhere. These large birds flock in very high numbers, and are known to make large poopy messes on the paved areas they walk across.

We have a lot of those guys around here. They like to nest in the most unusual places.

They certainly are everywhere! We had a pair that earlier this past spring flew over the house coming and going morning and evening. They must have been setting up a nest we thought.

We had a group of them make their nests beside the highway. They stopped traffic everytime they decided to took a stroll. I think they picked the spot because of the drainage ditch.

The ones I pictured love the pond, which is next to a very busy road, gas staion and large Kroger lot. They too love to en-mass cross the streets stopping traffic.

Growing up on the lake in Michigan, the goose poop was a big problem so dad turned our Standard Poodle loose on the daily to chase them off. It was a different story when the goslings came along!

They are not an endangered species for sure! We have a big pond near where we live and every spring two geese and two swans arrive and want to claim it. The swans always win!

They go to another pond. There are several for them to choose from. One pond has literally hundreds of geese before the autumn migration starts
