The wine shop at Austin Bergstrom airport just happened to be next to our gate for our flight back to Indiana today. We had some more Texas grape to glass wine! (The cheese and bread plate was also very good)

I hope Y’all enjoyed your visit to my, beautiful,,beautful Texas.
Austin is such a lovely city–been quite a few decades since I’ve been able to make my way back down there.
I live ‘way up north’ in a small Texan university town: Texas A&M–Commerce.
Here is a ‘fun-fact:
When we buiit the state capitol building in 1888, we constructed her just a few taller than the national capitol in Washington,
This was by design, I’m sure you can figure out why. Ever’ thang ‘Bigger in Texas.
Hahaha.
Cheers,and safe travels

“The Texas Capitol is taller than the United States Capitol.
The Texas Capitol does stand 14.64 feet taller than the nation’s Capitol in Washington D.C. The U.S. Capitol measures 288 feet from the east front ground level to the top of the Statue of Freedom, while the Texas Capitol stands 302.64 feet from the south front ground level to the tip of the star of the Goddess of Liberty.”

Thanks Lance for the details of your Capital Building. We really enjoy Texas, in fact before the pandemic we were Winter Texans both in Harlingen and then the following winter in Hudson Bend next to Lake Travis.
