After sunset the Canadian Falls, sometime called Horseshoe Falls due to its curved shape, become a display in color. Bright lights from the Canadian side of the river provide the spectacular effects.
We had a great time on a trip to Niagara Falls with one of our granddaughters in October 2019. If you ever go to see The Falls, we strongly suggest that you take a Grey Line Tour. They’ll pick you up at your hotel, or in our case our RV park. No problem with waiting lines for the Maid of the Mist or any of the other attractions on the tour. You don’t need to be on a honeymoon to enjoy Niagara Falls.
I saw the falls from the Canadian side back when I was 17 and visiting friends. Just standing near the visitor center and seeing the falls was amazing then. I’ve always wanted to go back.

How cool is that. I remember growing up people talked that Niagara Falls was THE place to honeymoon!

Wow beautiful! I went to Niagara Falls sometime in 2005 but only the US side. They said better from the Canadian side and in fact you’ve shown that it is!

The Falls are incredible to see. Our tour guide told tons of stories about who all tried to go over the falls in a barrel. Most did not make it…

Youโre right The Falls are spectacular at any time of year. Just know that Niagara is much more than the falls.

Oh we know Niagara is more than those wet features! We spent 3 days and only one doing the Falls. It’s an interesting area with lots to see and do.

When we were there we saw photos of frozen conditions. Remarkable, and would be a good time to visit.

We were there in 2015, did all the touristy things, the walk behind the Falls, the boat ride into the Falls, etc, and ended up treating ourselves to a fancy restaurant dinner while the full moon rose over the Falls. ๐ … doesn’t get much better than that. ๐

Iโve seen the falls in person and through photos during the day. Night time brings a whole new dimension.
