This life size statue of an Orca killer whale is in the entrance way to the Tulalip Casino off of I-5 north of Seattle. We have been patrons of the casino several times when we traveled to the Seattle area to visit family. When we were last there you could park your motorhome for 3 days in the designated RV lot. No services, but a patrolled and safe place to stay.
It seems that there is a brand new, additional casino on the same property. There was a Grand Opening February 3rd. It is listed as being twice as large as the first casino. We will definitely check it out the next time we travel to the Pacific Northwest.
Thanks for explaining what’s actually going on here! Umm, a beached whale?

You can’t see the pond and the source of the water fountains. This statue is as big as it looks…probably 16 feet tall at least.

We have found several Casinos allowing you to stay three days to a week nearly free. Of course, you have to be careful not to put more money into the games than you save. LOL! Some of them had FHU. We loved Seven Feathers!

I know exactly where you are! The Seattle airport shuttle I used to visit my daughter at college in Bellingham always stopped there to pick up and drop off folks. Nice that they offer a safe lot for RVs. – Karen

She loved it and I adored visiting her. Of course I had to check out all the antique and thrift stores in town on my visits. And I will say we had some great food in Bellingham too.

Ah, Bellingham! We enjoyed whale watching cruises, ballet at the historic Bellingham Theatre and dinner at the small Italian (Italian?) restaurant next to the Theatre. 😉

Yes, Seven Feathers is in Oregon. We make it a point to stop there on the way up to Washington and on the way back. There are several Casinos in Arkansas that we visited where you could stay a week free or for a low cost and they were so close together that we went from one to the other and had a blast.

Those “clusters” of casinos are fun! We’ll try Seven Feathers the next time we visit our daughter in Seattle.

What a statue for a casino.. quite unusual.

The Orca is sacred to the Tulalip Tribe that owns the casino, so it does make sense to have this at the entrance. Thanks for the visit and the insightful comment.
