Honeysuckle has both good and bad features, depending on the type of honeysuckle you have. We’ll be trimming this one back as it has spread considerably this year. Honeysuckles are known to take over an area.
Our honeysuckle had a tendency to take over but the sweet smell in summer evenings coming from the little flowers, made up for it 🥰

This is the first time ours has spread so much, and it’ll get a trim before next year. They sure do smell sweet. Thanks so much for commenting.

When I first moved to the south from New Jersey, I went outside and asked my neighbor what was that wonderfully sweet smell? Honeysuckle! Gosh, it is lovely.

I remember both a bush variety and a vining type in the southeast Connecticut woodlands where I grew up. They do smell sweet!
