Iris was the favorite flower of my Mother, and she grew rows and rows of them. She had a one acre garden, that she worked mostly by hand and canned everything, except the Iris. I love them because they look like Orchids.
Iris are truly lovely, Mom’s were all colors. I remember on time we picked a big bunch late in the day and I put them in the back seat of the car, on the way home the bees woke up and buzzed around our car. We had to stop and let them all out. But kept the Iris.

I love how beautiful and easy Irises are to grow. I love how the sails and falls can have different colors.
