Today Sher and I gambled on the threatening rain and went to the Crater Of the Diamonds State Park. We had an absolute blast even though the ground was very very muddy and hard to walk in.

Getting ready to head to the muddy field and begin our search for diamonds

Here I am shovel in hand and ready to find one of those huge diamonds shown in the picture next to me
The shed in the background is where you screen the soil for diamonds and gems stones
Why does the sign say Uncle Sam? I’m glad you didn’t sink!

One of the biggest diamonds ever found here was named “Uncle Sam” They like to name the big ones. And we had to hold on to each other to not slip and fall.

I thought it may be a note from the IRS telling you to be sure to pay taxes on your finds! Your two kids playing in the mud! 😎🤭😬

HaHa……never thought about that, but I bet those danged tax men watch those that do find the big ones. And yes, we felt like a couple of kids in the mud, until we got tired! LOL
