Sher has found a new pastime referred to as Diamond Art. It uses hundreds of different colored “diamonds” that you carefully place on a preprinted picture. It’s kind of like paint by number, though it is diamond by number.
It’ll be a fun project, and I just might have to get one of my own. This won’t take as much space as a jig-saw puzzle, and will be easier to put up when not working on it.
This is such a nice idea! It really looks like fun to do 🙂

Wonderful when new hobbies are found, it’s what keeps us young and an active mind

Keeping the mind active is so important, Alison. We all need things to help!

We do, I starting playing Bridge a few years ago when I turned 60, I love it. I have meant so many new people of all ages, mostly much older but with brilliant minds

Cards is something we have yet to pursue post retirement. Sometime…

Love that idea. I used to cross stitch, the same thing with fabric “X’s”. This seems more fun. 😃❤

Sher confirms that this is better than cross stich. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Thank you for posting this. The kits are constantly popping up when I look for other things. I wasn’t certain what they were.
How are the “diamonds” adhered? Do I really want a blinged-out “painting”?

There’s this little tool that looks like a pen or mechanical pencil, and you put the “diamond” in the end then stick it on the painting guide. There is some adhesive involved, I heard Sher talking with our son about that. I’m not really sure, I have not tried it yet.

I recall seeing a block of something that looks like wax. I thought that was to help pick up the crystals but I don’t know.

You’re correct that is to pick up the “diamonds”

My neighbor does hundreds of these. I have two from her. They are beautiful, but she is a little obsessed.
