Even though there have been two nights with frost and hard freezes there are still trees with beautiful fall leaves. Indiana is finally getting some much needed rainfall as well.

Thanks! And you are so right, a good heavy rain or even a windy day can shorten the time the color lasts. Oh, and frost doesn’t help either. We too had a couple of days with 27 degrees overnight.

We (SoCal) had a couple cool days, then heatwave, cool, heatwave, and back to cool. My plants are unhappy and many turned yellow and started looking sickly. We don’g get color change around here so I love seeing it in pics. Thx for sharing!!

I’m at the coast and we varied between mid 70s (64 at night) and high 90s… 100+ inland.
At present, no more heatwaves in the forecast but that could change, the weather has been as odd as everything else in 2020.
