We recently were fortunate to get some saplings from the DNR. We got three Tulip saplings and two Black Cherry saplings. The Tulips are doing very well as you can see from the photos. The Tulip tree is the State Tree of Indiana.

We usually try to get some seedlings in the spring from our local conservation district but got distracted this year. I don’t know if I have ever seen a tulip tree.
