Lots of activity at the river yesterday! Soon after we saw the snake swimming along this duck decided to cross the shallow backwater to a stick covered sand bar. She found a suitable path across the bar to the river, making sure to shake her tail in the process!

This duck was either laughing or mad
Laughing or mad, one duck was very verbal. The whole flock was very animated and active yesterday afternoon.
Geese enjoying the river
It was a nice day, partly cloudy in the 40’s. A good day to enjoy the river.
Pumpkin’s watery grave

This Jack O Lantern probably graced someone’s front porch last weekend for Halloween. Even though you can’t see the face, the top removal is evidence of some decorative artwork. How or why this pumpkin found its way into the center of this shallow river is a mystery.
No more campaign ads, now we just have to get through the counting and lawsuits. Be safe! COVID’s getting worse just about everywhere.
River reflections, color and moss covering
One of the routes I use for my daily walks follows along a small river. Here is another photo I took today. Sky was overcast with intermittent misty rain. A cool temp of 55 degrees coupled with a steady 15 mph breeze made for a somewhat invigorating hike.
River view and Indiana opening again

On one of our drives we came upon a pretty little river. The current was fairly fast flowing, and we did see some ducks on the river, and some folks in kayaks enjoying a nice day.
People in Indiana are slowly trying to get used to the “Back On Track Indiana” procedures. This is the first full weekend of the Stage 2 of the “reopening”. Restaurants are back at 50% capacity, travel restrictions are gone, and everybody is to wear masks anytime you are outside your residence, among other changes. If you are interested, you can see Indiana’s plan at this website.
