We’ve been having some warmer days, and that coupled with the calendar has resulted in some of the bulb sprouts making their appearance in our flower and herb garden.
Won’t be long until the blooms will be out in all their beauty. It’s about time to be over this winter thing and move on to a better year.
Both of these flowers are in our herb and flower garden that we planted during our COVID-10 isolation. The yellow rose, pictured in yesterday’s post, has opened up and, as promised, is shining. We wanted to also share an image of this blue petunia.

I missed the rose in the first photo blooming yesterday. So out for pictures I go, and there to my delight is another bud starting to bloom (second photo). And then while taking the second photo low and behold I spotted yet another bud hiding under the rose in bloom. Three roses to share with you all.

No hint needed, but here is the culprit responsible. The squirrel that buried the corn kernel in this pot did not get back soon enough to retrieve it before germination. We thought, what the heck, let’s see how well corn grows with the petunias. Pot stability may be an issue the taller the stalk gets.
That’s mint to the left of the hosta
Just a couple of pictures from out front of the house. The hosta has seen a spurt of growth in the past few days. That is mint to the left of the hosta. The rose has bloomed nicely.
This morning the first rose bud was opening up a bit. You can see there are two more in the wings so we’ll have three pretty soon.
This morning the sun shone on the Asiatic Lilys. A lot of blooms!
If you’ve been visiting Roadtirement for a while you know that we have been waiting somewhat impatiently for the Asiatic Lily to bloom. As you can see, it did bloom this morning.
Lots of buds still growing, so it looks like we’ll be blessed with more pretty blooms. Oh, and if you look in the lower right hand corner of the photo you can just see some leaves of the mint that we also have growing. It smells so pretty!
