No politics here. There’s enough of that #*@% everywhere else. Just for you here’s a couple of sunset shots from Roadtirement’s sky.
All of the posts we made before July 2022.

We were planting some new bulbs today in our herb/flower garden. We also moved some Asiatic lily bulbs from the front of the house to the back yard as well. When I looked into a bucket we used to move the lily bulbs I noticed this colorful little guy. He is a Five Lined Skink. He is about 5 inches long, and he has lost a part of his tail. We’ve never seen one around before. He’s now making a new home in our bulb/herb/flower garden.
One of the routes I use for my daily walks follows along a small river. Here is another photo I took today. Sky was overcast with intermittent misty rain. A cool temp of 55 degrees coupled with a steady 15 mph breeze made for a somewhat invigorating hike.

A true sign of fall can be seen in yards and forested areas. A carpet of leaves has developed in our yard as can be seen in the image. You can barely see the fence and mulched bed circling the maple tree.

The fall is such a beautiful time of year. This little sometimes island has become home for a couple of driftwood trees. The foliage colors are still sharing their brilliance as fallen leaves take a journey down the calm waters of the river.
Just think, in a little less than two weeks the election will be over and we’ll no longer have to put up with all of those ridiculous, offensive, and repetitive campaign ads on TV, radio and print.
Continue to be careful and safe. COVID-19 is on the rise in many many areas of the country. Now is not the time to relax wearing masks, social distancing and hand washing.

Even though there have been two nights with frost and hard freezes there are still trees with beautiful fall leaves. Indiana is finally getting some much needed rainfall as well.

Fall is such a beautiful time of the year. Temperatures are falling and the trees are stunning when they turn.

On my walk a very nice fellow on a bicycle pointed out a bald eagle on a dead snag several hundred feet away. What a thrill it was to see a bald eagle, which is not at all a common sight in our area. This magnificent bird was in a tree overlooking a river with farm fields on the other side. Best photo I could get on the iPhone.
Get outside, you never know what you might see! Just do it safely!

This new sidewalk stone base has been laid out for quite some time. The traffic cone next to the engineering stake has been there long enough to become home to a plant that has finally made it to the light of day. An example of slow construction progress?
