Indiana State of Emergency

Governor Holcomb of Indiana has declared a state of emergency to be sure Indiana is prepared for the eclipse on Monday.

Several cities in Indiana will be in the direct path of the total eclipse. Several hundred of thousands of visitors are expected. This could affect emergency services.

  1. Our local schools will be open. We will only have about a 90 percent eclipse. It may end up being cloudy and not really viewable. I think some have switched to half day on that day so the schools is not responsible for kids staring at the sun and damaging their eyes on the bus ride home.

  2. i’ve only seen one eclipse in Milan in 1999. It was the weirdest sensations. we were in the country side and all the birds suddenly went silent. the colour f the sky changed to a most intense blue. and then it was all over!
