Easter Sunday proved very costly to a cash storage facility in California’s San Fernando Valley. Burglars managed to cut into the roof, make their way to the vault avoiding any alarm systems, successfully got away with around thirty million dollars in cash. The FBI Los Angeles Office is reported to be working with the LAPD, although details are not being shared.
The LA Times first reported the heist occurred Sunday night and was discovered on Monday. The facility hit is a cash storage facility that handles and stores cash for businesses from across the region, according to L.A. Police Department Cmdr. Elaine Morales. The take was the largest cash haul in the history of the area. Click here for the LA Times article.
