Mariska Hargitay was filming yet another episode of the 25th season of the hit TV show “Law and Order: SVU,” when a young girl spotted the  star. Thinking she was a real police officer, she asked Hargity for help. Seems she had been separated from her mother at a nearby playground and needed help finding her.

The star, who plays the heroic detective Olivia Benson on the long-running TV show, immediately stopped the filming for 20 minutes while she and the girl found her mother for a joyful reunion. Witnesses said the girl did not even notice the film crew or Hargitay’s co-star Ice-T.

Alaska Airlines resume flights after FAA grounding

All scheduled flights by Alaska Airlines were grounded by the FAA “out of an abundance of caution,” the airline said. Wednesday the airline was performing an upgrade to its system that calculates weight and balance when a problem was detected that forced the shutdown order from FAA officials. An hour after the grounding, Alaska determined that the problem had been resolved and the order was lifted, much to the relief of all parties concerned.
