This busy tailed squirrel acts like he can’t decide if he should bury the nut he has in his mouth. Today is a pretty sunny day but very cold at 11 degrees. This might have been the squirrel that liked to lick the ice in the frozen wheelbarrow.
Cool vid, folks. Thanks. No squirrels in sight here, only the new-fallen 6-8 inches of snow.
High temp today is negative 4 (F) w/ a wind chill of 23 below, so I’d like to come hang out in YOUR yard, PLEEEEZE.
I love seeing squirrels, but we don’t have any around our place. I always wonder if they remember where they bury the nuts! Oh, that one was so fast going up the tree! 🙂
It’s amazing how fast they can run up a tree, zip!

They move like lightning! And when they are chasing/playing around they go into overdrive! Thanks, John.

It’s probably difficult to dig in the frozen ground.

That is probably true. I did see another one pushing leaves on top of a couple of walnuts later…

I love to watch squirrels. They are nature’s comedians.

Pandemonium erupted in our backyard a while ago courtesy of at least a half dozen of these critters. They are good entertainment.

One day last summer we saw a pair of chipmunks. That was the only day we spotted them. They are so cute.

We’ve seen them dig up nuts before, and when 4 or 5 get together and start racing around the yard it is quite a show! Thanks!

That’s some steady camera work! And always nice to see these little squirrels, as active as they are..
