Definitely odd – looks like an Egyptian Goose, however, definitely out of region.

I wonder what species it is from or how it got the strange coloration. I may have to google and see if I can find out its origins or if it is just an anomoly.

Years ago there was a small store that sat at the base of the hill about a mile from here. Behind it was a large pond. The people who managed the store fed the many geese and duck that gathered there. With them were some of the oddest looking ducks I had ever seen. We come to find out they did a wonderful job of keeping the mosquito population down.
