Yep, more danged snow: enough already!
We had a day without snow, but with frigid temperatures. Some more snow was predicted, maybe an inch or so. However we had another “woke up, looked out and said wow” moment. We got another 5 inches of the white stuff. Fortunately we have been blessed with no interruptions in any of our utility suppliers.
It’s very pretty, but no thank you. 😎 I hope it melts soon, and your temps head upward. 😃

I honestly do not envy you. They warned us we might get ice but it missed us here where I am. Its been raining but I can deal with that. Hope you’re warm and safe and that everything stays on.

one day I shall walk along snow.
I did it once. Decades ago.
the world shone white
as if by moon-glow.
Everything moved slow.

Midnight, full moon, cloudless sky offers a magnificent quiet walk. Thanks for the verse, John.

We’re supposed to be above freezing by Monday. Hopefully we’ll get rid of some snow then. We’ll be back on the road sometime!

A nice snow Christmas Eve, about 3 inches to get a real white Christmas. Then melt if off the roads by noon so everybody can safely go to other relatives. Maybe next year will be post-COVID so we can visit family…

Y’know, when I first moved here to the Hinterland (VT’s Canadian border, 30 years ago) i thought scenes like this one (even ones w/ even more snow) were truly beautiful. I still do, but I’d rather look at them on a screen, from a distance. Maybe My Beloved Sandra and I will bump into you guys on the road sometime.

Would look forward to meeting up with you and Sandra out there sometime.

We got about sixteen inches down here, which is rare! The snow is beautiful, but these single-digit temps are fierce on my poor bones. And I’ve been praying for Texas, they’ve really had it bad! Here’s hoping you both stay safe and warm! Blessings!

Wow, 16 inches has to be rare for the Volunteer State. Heck it’s rare for us here in Indiana. We’re hanging in there, and like you praying for Texas. Our oldest son and his family are in Austin area.

Oh my goodness, I’m praying for your son! The last time we got 16 inches or better was in January 1985. Down here we refer to it as the Blizzard of ’85. I remember it well. I was in the 7th grade and it began snowing at around 9am. Then at lunch, the principal came into the cafeteria and announced the buses were on their way to take us all home. We cheered! 😂

Thanks for prayers for our son. So far they are doing fine, the intermittent water supply is the biggest headache. They have a fireplace for warmth.
