At an RV Park in central Florida we met the local resident Sandhill crane.
This crane obviously owned the park, as we saw him walking down the center of roads and blatantly ignoring the accepted RV park protocol of not walking through another camper’s site. I was only about 3 feet from him for the close up head shot.

That’s awesome! I’ve encountered wild turkeys and geese with the same attitude.

On our travels we have met many animal friends, though they were unwilling to allow up close and personal visits. Some we were smart enough to allow them their distance. The Bears and the Buffalo were the most exciting to see right outside our car.

We had a great encounter with a bison 🦬 at Yellowstone Park a few years ago. Thrilling!

It was for us too! Buffalo steak is awesome. We ate buffalo burgers on buns that they made, in a little diner in Custer and they were wonderful. If I get up that way again we will have to look them up.

Sand Cranes rip screen doors off in my neighborhood here in Florida! They’re awesome to see and watch but shouldn’t feed them because they get aggressive and greedy..lol. Great photos and best wishes!

Birds can get rather pushy and aggravating. Mostly because of human activities like feeding, etc. I would imagine cranes destroying doors would be rather frightening!
