Hot soup on a cold night

Sometimes the simplest things work the best. Point in case our supper tonight was a simple hot tomato basil soup with crackers. It warms you up, which we both need as it is going to drop to 9 degrees overnight . Brrrrrrr!

  1. NINE???
You need a bath in hot tomato soup!!
Funny… I just reminded myself of saying, on a hot day, I wanted to sit in a tub of soft serve ice cream. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. I still think it sounds great!

    • Yes, we have used Passport America for the last 5 years. There are as you observed there are limitations. Most that we have used allow at least 2 nights, but often not on Friday or Saturdays. Usually never on holiday weekends either. However, we use it for example when we’re going a long distance, e.g. Indiana to south Texas. Most 1/2 price PA rates are about $20, most $15 – $17. We have found some that are unlimited, but they are few and far between. Using PA for 2 or 3 nights will pay for your yearly membership. We’ll be glad to share more details if you’d like.

  3. Your soup (this post) was made a few weeks ago. I’ve just made a pot of leek and potato soup (my comfort food) although it’s now 20 degrees – a jump from 14 yesterday – but I’d planned it so I made it. I can eat soup at any time though, and with home made bread it’s an easily prepared meal for a singledon like me..
